College of Adaptive Arts

Historically, and even today, those with special needs have not had access to higher education. The College of Adaptive Arts (CAA) is trying to change that by providing equitable higher education opportunities for adults with special needs. CAA believes in its students' competence and abilities and empowers them through education.

Problem

CAA was established in 2009 and only had 12 students in a single musical theatre class. Since then, CAA has grown to an enrollment size of over 140 students and +75 course offerings. With the growth and position they are in, CAA sought help with further increasing exposure through rebranding and marketing.

Work

Over the course of Winter 2021 - Spring 2022, our team at the DBH Agency helped rebrand and market CAA not only as an empowering educational establishment but as a serious and professional one.

PR Plan - Our first plan of action was providing the client with a PR plan. This PR plan included branding, style guide, and social media elements. Who is CAA? What are its missions and goals? Who are the people is it trying to reach? How does it want to present itself?

Social Media - CAA's social media were fairly outdated. We revamped their social media thanks to our new branding and style guide from before. We provided new and clean templates for them to use on their social media and updated some existing ones.

Photography - Another area where CAA was lacking was in its media library. CAA had few photos of good quality. We visited during tours, classes, and news interviews to take photos for them to use on their website, social media, marketing, etc.

Input - CAA had other things going, such as a TED Talk and website redesign, which they wanted input on. Our team provided helpful feedback to add to their presentations and the design of their new website.
